“So, if it’s up to this zealous U of M dropout to say that you are full of...”
– Gophers football at No. 98? Somebody has to protest this | StarTribune.com Wow, I think this might be the first time I’ve read something by Reusse that had a hint of positivity.

WatchWatch
This is why the Roots are the baddest band in Late Night.  Try and top this Paul Shaffer.  ?uestlove is on my list of favorite drummers.  Also included in no particular order and without justification Travis Barker (Blink-182), Tommy Lee (Motley Crue), Rick Allen (Def Leppard), Dave Grohl (Nirvana, Foo Fighters, Crooked Vultures).

iPhone 4
I’m preordering an iPhone 4 online and under “Wireless Features” it lists a “Data Unlimited” option for $15 a month.  This is after the screen where I chose a “DataPro 2GB Personal” data plan for $25 a month.  What do you suppose this means?

Big 12 survives!
Ultimately, I’m happy that the Big 12 survived.  I’d hate to see programs like Missouri, Kansas, K-State and Iowa State left in the vacuum of independency or worse the Mountain West.  Notre Dame made being an Independent work because they are Notre Dame.  The other schools don’t have that.  The Mountain West is improving with the addition of Boise State, but in the end they are...

Previous to 2011 Nebraska’s most played non-conference football opponent is Minnesota.  Minnesota’s most played non-conference opponent is Nebraska.  51 games played.  Minnesota’s 29 wins to Nebraska’s 20.  Two ties.  I’m kinda excited about this. I hope that Missouri and Notre Dame are not far behind.

I’ve decided that my response to anything they complain about, whine about, etc will be “In Latin please…”

Or in this case Master's
Tommy: Did you hear I finally graduated?
Richard Hayden: Yeah, and just a shade under a decade too. All right.
Tommy: You know a lot of people go to college for [eleven] years.
Richard Hayden: I know, they're called doctors.

I’ve been trying to think of a good line to announce this so here goes…. 1.  I won’t call you a slave, but you can call me MASTER! 2.  I don’t have a padlock, but I still got a MASTERS! 3.  I don’t play golf, but I got a ticket to the MASTERS! 4.  Young women put it before their name I put it after … M.S.

Put Jobless Young People to Work Cleaning Up BP's...
joshruben:joshmohrer:robertreich: Friday’s job report was awful. For most new high school and college grads finding a job is harder than ever. Meanwhile, states are cutting summer jobs for disadvantaged young people. What to do with this army of young unemployed? Send them to the Gulf to clean up beaches and wetlands, and send the bill to BP. Florida’s panhandle beaches are already marred...

Blown Call
Armando Galarraga was absolutely robbed of his perfect game by Jim Joyce last night in the Detroit Tigers Cleveland Indians game.  However, as soon as the next play happened, it was too late to change that call.  Bud Selig has made the right decision by not allowing the reversal.  I don’t mind instant replay in football and I don’t know that I would mind it in other sports.  Yes, it...
